Student Password Resets – Upcoming

Hello Staff and Students, as we gear up for upcoming Winter Break, we wanted to inform you that upon arrival in January 2024, all student passwords will be reset to a temporary password upon initial login.

This temporary password will be set to your current school, for example: If you attend Sams, your password will be set to Sams12345. Shearwater = Shear12345, etc.

Once you have successfully logged in, you will be prompted to reset your password to something that is easy for you to remember, yet secure.

For our younger students users, it may be helpful for teachers to have a individually assigned or shared classroom password for easier management. Meanwhile, older students, such as those at Sams, will have the opportunity to personalize their passwords.

We are also looking into creating a group for teachers to have the ability to assist with password resets for their students. Though for the time being, requests can be made to itcontact@sd49.ca for password resets.
